The World Economic Forum is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.


The Global Risk Forum GRF Davos is a foundation with its headquarters in Davos that develops target- orientated solutions for integral disaster and risk management and climate change. GRF Davos serves as a centre for the exchange of knowledge and experience. In support, the biennial International Disaster and Risk Conference (IDRC) on disaster and risk reduction as well as climate change is held in Davos. 

European Dental Further-Training Congress

The Freie Verband Deutscher Zahnärzte (Free Association of German Dentists) is the largest independent association of dentists in Germany. In addition to its work at a profession-policy level, the association provides its members with help and advice on all issues related to the practice of dentistry. For over 40 years, the winter dental congress in Davos has offered dentists and employees in dental practices lectures and seminars on all areas of dentistry by globally renowned scientists, consolidation of theoretical and practical knowledge in special intensive courses, a dental exhibition and a professional-policy evening. 

Progress in allergology, dermatology, pneumology

This congress is organized jointly by the Klinik und Poliklinik für Dermatologie und Allergologie am Biederstein der Technische Universität München and the Hochgebirgsklinik Davos, where patients of all ages (adults, juveniles and children) suffering from skin and respiratory disorders and allergies receive expert treatment.


The International Diagnostic Course Davos (IDKD) is sponsored by a non-profit organization (Foundation for the Advancement of Education in Medical Radiology), which has the aim of furthering education in the field of radiology. The well attended radiology training courses take place during a week in early spring and have been organized annually in Davos since 1969.

AO Foundation

AO - Association for Osteosynthesis – is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the care of patients with musculoskeletal injuries and related complications through research, development, education and quality assurance in the principles, practice and results in the treatment of fractures.

AGC courses Davos

Introduced in 1983, the practical courses on open and laparoscopic surgery in the gastrointestinal field give participants the opportunity to practice on animal models. The courses are part of advanced training for future as well as experienced surgeons. The annual courses, which are headed by 70 experienced GI surgeons, are attended by around 260 participants from various European countries. To date, over 5,000 surgeons successfully taken part in the Davos courses. 


With its outstanding list of speakers, the annual World Immune Regulation Meeting has become one of the key international scientific events in the field of immunology. WIRM is large enough for participants to gain knowledge from other scientists and small enough for them to meet the experts in person. This meeting is organized by the Swiss Institute of Allergy and Asthma Research (SIAF) in Davos.

Cardiology Update

Cardiology Update has been held in Davos every two years since its foundation in 1975. Over the years, the course has benefited from an increasingly good reputation and growing number of participants. The course is a joint educational programme by the Zurich Heart House / Foundation for Cardiovascular Research, the University Hospital Zurich and the European Society of Cardiology, ESC.


The Swiss Association for Ultrasound in Medicine (SGUM) is an umbrella organization for all involved with the diagnostic use of ultrasound in medicine. The SGUM promotes the quality of ultrasound examinations in Switzerland and organizes basic and advanced training course as well as refresher courses.
